Personal Statement
I am an Adult Educator and resource person. A determined achiever, resourceful and enthusiastic team worker with great leadership skills. My passion lies in training facilitators in the best method and approach to working with adult learners based on andragogical principles. Understanding the circumstances surrounding adult learning will ensure more successful learning outcomes for the adult learner and highlight the need to be professionally trained in the field of Adult Education. My focus is on encouraging the creation of a suitable learning environment for the adult learner. I have published several relevant articles in reputable national and international Journals including a textbook on Adult Teaching Methods. I have successfully graduated 8 Ph.Ds and I am currently developing different Case Study scenario methods to suit different disciplines. My aim is to boost the professionalization of adult education in Nigeria so that those who work with adults will be appropriately skilled to do so, thus boosting the image of Adult Education.
