Prof. Adeneye O. A. Awofala

I am a professor of mathematics and science education, with a passion for advancing students’ understanding of mathematics at all levels of education through the implementation of innovative student-centred pedagogies. My work focuses on ICT in STM education, teacher education, and curriculum studies. With a strong commitment to reducing poor performance and increasing mathematical proficiency through innovative strategies, I am passionate at developing scientific researches that inform policies and engender societal enhancement by educating youths, young mathematicians and engaging local communities through workshops and seminars sensitization, creativity and advocacy. My proximate objective is to advance the study of mathematics education at all levels and engage in the training of in-service and pre-service mathematics teachers, thus addressing the challenges of inadequate mathematics teachers in Nigeria in particular and Africa in general through cooperative teaching and learning and cross-disciplinary conceptualization.
